Roulette without the 2.7% tax

Standard European roulette keeps 2.7% of every dollar wagered because the zero pocket sits on the layout permanently. Castle Roulette removes that leak by reseeding zero each spin. You still get 35:1 on a straight number and 1:1 on red/black. The difference is the long-run return converges on 100%, not 97.3%. No live stream hiding the math. No six-zero American variant. One wheel, one published edge figure: zero.

If you came from provider roulette, the feel is identical. Only the long-run tax on outside bets disappears on the main wheel. Side sectors like Voisins still carry their own edge if you enable them.

On $1,000 wagered at even-money outside bets, standard EU roulette expects to lose about $27. Castle Roulette expects to lose $0 before variance. That is not marketing. That is the rules sheet.

How Castle Roulette works

Place chips on numbers, splits, streets, columns, dozens, red/black, even/odd or high/low, exactly the European table you already know. Spin the wheel; payouts run from 1:1 (outside bets) to 35:1 (single number). The single zero is replaced by a reseeded zero on every spin, so the house edge collapses from the standard 2.7% to 0%.

Optional side bets (Voisins, Tiers, Orphelins, neighbour sectors) use their own published edge and are separate from the 0% main wheel. Stick to the core layout if edge is why you are here.

Table limits are posted per bet type: outside caps differ from straight-up caps. You can stack multiple numbers in one spin as long as each respects the per-number maximum.

How to run a Castle Roulette session

At 0% edge the math is neutral, but variance is not. Treat the session like any roulette table: fixed unit size, hard stop in dollars, no chasing colour streaks.

• Pick one outside bet type (red/black or high/low) if you want the calmest line.
• Cap straight-up exposure at 1-2% of session bankroll per number.
• Set a stop-win and stop-loss in dollars before spin one.
• Skip optional side bets unless you accept their published edge.

Bankroll math, not betting systems

No progression (Martingale, D'Alembert, Fibonacci) changes the math, at 0% edge each spin is a 50/50 EV-neutral coin flip on outside bets. Real strategy is bankroll: never wager more than 1-2% of session bankroll on a single number, and always set a stop-win and stop-loss before the first spin. The low variance makes Castle Roulette ideal for clearing VIP wagering.

At 0% edge, progression systems do not hurt you mathematically. They still hurt your bankroll when variance runs cold. Flat betting with a stop-win and stop-loss is the whole playbook.

How to verify a Castle Roulette spin

Every spin combines a server seed (committed and hashed pre-spin) with your client seed and an incrementing nonce. After the spin, the server seed is revealed, recompute the HMAC-SHA-256 digest and the first three bytes map to the winning pocket (0-36).

1. Before the round, copy the server seed hash from the provably fair panel. That hash is the commitment. The raw seed is hidden until the round ends.
2. Set or accept a client seed. The nonce increments on every bet. Together they feed the HMAC-SHA256 function Duel publishes in the rules.
3. Play the round. When it settles, reveal the server seed and recompute the digest with your client seed and nonce.
4. Map the digest to the game outcome using the rules for that title. If your result does not match what Duel paid, open a ticket with the round ID.
